resaseda: fails with binary data apparently due to unexpected index range
When operating on binary format files, resaseda fails. For example with beispiel.bin the operation
resaseda -v -o -sf 2016/08/24/01:38:10 -sl 2016/08/24/01:38:50 -type bin -Type bin beispiel.rsa.bin beispiel.bin
stuplox -ty bin -s x -i -t -a beispie*.bin
produces unexpected results (resampled time series does not match original).
Applying the same procedure to the ascii variant beispiel.ascii of the data by
resaseda -v -o -sf 2016/08/24/01:38:10 -sl 2016/08/24/01:38:50 -type ascii -Type ascii beispiel.rsa.ascii beispiel.ascii
stuplox -ty ascii -s x -i -t -a beispie*.ascii
provides the expected result.
A possible cause of this problem is the property of the binary data module in libdatrwxx to return time series where the first index not necessarily is zero, since binary data may contain a specific index range (see ibinstream.cc). A problem of this cause occurred with tijerasxx and was fixed with commit f4e76d43.
